The tile is one part of the system.

A shower needs a suitable waterproofing assembly behind or beneath the finish. Tile and grout alone do not make the shower waterproof. The selected components, joints and drain connection must be planned as a complete assembly.

For the floor outside the shower, discuss surface texture, transitions and product suitability. A wall tile is not automatically appropriate for a floor, and a tile approved for one use may not be suitable for another.
